The original (1966) animated TV movie with Boris Karloff as narrator and voice of the Grinch .

I don't remember if I ever got the chance to watch this movie growing up, but I'm glad I did this year. The music is fantastic and I loved seeing the Grinch finally come around to the idea of Christmas.

One of my all-time holiday favorites. This is a classic that can never be replaced!

(*Grinch movie-song lyrics excerpt*) - "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch..... You really are a heel.... You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel.... Mr. Grinch..... You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!"

Even fifty-three years following its original television release-date back in 1966 - Dr. Seuss's "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" still holds a nostalgic charm all of its own that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, alike.

Note: This is the original animated version of the movie —not the version with Jim Carey in green face paint (produced years later).

In this version of the Grinch of the many more there are, this one has a deeper meaning towards it. This is a very loved Christmas movie around the world, it is a classic that people come together every year to watch. It starts of with the entire town getting ready for Christmas, but the movie focuses on a little girl in the town; Cindy Lou. She is a curious innocent child that wanted to figure out why the Grinch was the way he was and didn’t celebrate a much loved holiday; Christmas. As she goes on her journey to get the Grinch to celebrate with them aggravates the Grinch into taking what the town loves the most; Christmas. I loved the way that this version of the Grinch was portrayed because it made him more relatable. It made other people really understand where he was coming from. 5/5 stars

Are you looking for a laugh over the holidays? Do you like Green, hairy guys? Do you believe in magic? If you answer yes to any of these questions, this is the movie for you. You will travel on a journey of heartbreak and feel for The Grinch as he takes you through his life of embarrassment, anger and hate for Christmas. You will feel his apprehension as he is invited to Whoville by Cindy-Loo Who is befriends him and knows that under the bitterness and anger there is a loving, friendly Grinch. The movie will have you crying, laughing and shouting out in glee all in the same moments. The Grinch is a movie that you can watch with your family and have everyone enjoy every moment. 5/5

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my most favourite Christmas movies of all time. In 2001, Jim Carrey was awarded a People’s Choice Award for Favourite Comedic Movie Actor for his role as the Grinch. I believe that Jim Carrey was a perfect actor to portray his role of the Grinch because of the exaggerated facial expressions used and the energy he put into his character. I also love how much effort went into the different sets in the movie (such as the town, the Grinch’s cave, the post office and much more) because it gave a feel to the viewer that the world of the movie was real. I would rate this movie 5/5 stars because it’s a classic that I’ll never get tired of watching.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is an atypical christmas movie about a citizen of whoville who is an outcast in his town leading him to despise christmas. One year the grinch had a plan to ruin Christmas for whoville by stealing all their presents and decorations. Although along the way a young Cindy Lou Who teaches the grinch the true meaning of christmas, making him change his mind. I recommend this movie to anyone of any age, it can teach children a variety of good morals as well as being a fairly entertaining movie.
