Wonderful
From 'wish I had read' list.
Didn't finish this. It feel like wah wah wah rich white people problems and I found the characters unlikeable.
I re-read all of Rosamund Pilchers books every few years. Just like visiting old friends, warm and cozy.
I wanted to read this book but the print is microscopic!! I don't always need large print but this print size and cheap paperback book binding hard to keep open is ridiculous! This is the only copy so there is no large print or hard cover copy!!
I'm still looking for another book I loved as much as this one.
Loved this story of a strong English woman, Penelope Stern, and her relationships with the men and children in her life. Penelope is a woman to emulate!
Vivid details...good story...moving ending
A touching story. The main character reminded me of my mother who lived her life for her children. She had her own definition for luxury and happiness. I miss her so much.
